Daughters--Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

I have been blessed to be the father of four beautiful daughters. Our oldest child is a boy and after his birth, I though that I wanted all boys, but the next child was a beautiful little redhead, and I wondered why I would ever want any more boys.
Anna Joy Stubbs Kendall
Anna Joy Stubbs is beautiful. She had brilliant red hair and blue eyes. She got cheated out of some attention in her first years because she was a twin, and her twin required so much help and time. Anna was so smart and fast; she absorbed everything that came around her. She was considered a bit of a problem by her kindergarten teacher. When the teacher was trying to teach the class how to read, Anna would tell everyone what the word was. The teacher had her sit outside the classroom on a step by the coat hangers. We spoke to the teacher and that ended. I felt bad that she had been removed from the class because she could already read. Anna is now a school teacher and is featured in her district circular. Anna has a mixed family. She has two children from her first marriage, one son from her second marriage and one son from her third marriage along with three step-children from her third marriage.
Amy Rose Stubbs Gibson
Our second daughter is Amy Rose Stubbs, named after her grandmother Rose. She is beautiful and a spinning whirlwind. She could do almost anything at an early age. She was brilliant and caring. She was the most like her grandmother Rose, very loving and no nonsense. I don’t know how she survived being my little girl, because most of my life is nonsense. She is so outgoing with everyone she meets. She is a counselor at a brand-new school in her district, and she was nominated as rookie counselor of the year and her team won counseling team of the year. Amy and Brad have three children, and one grandchild, that of course would be my great granddaughter.
Rachel Mary Stubbs McTeer
Our third daughter was Rachel Mary Stubbs. One more beautiful redhead. She always got very good grades. She was a swimmer and went to State and placed. She struggled with believing that she was a smart or good as those around her. She was! She was always trying to keep peace in the family, which is almost impossible with nine children and two parents. She graduated from college and then went on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Australia. When she returned home, she got her master’s degree and was hired as the assistant city manager in Alpine. She was killed in a terrible accident a couple of years later. She and Matt had two children, Adelaide and Elizabeth.
Julia Jill Stubbs
Our youngest daughter Julia Jill Stubbs was raised as almost an only child. She also has the most beautiful red hair. I think that the Irish is coming out. She graduated from Snow College in art. She then went to Weber State in Ogden and studied art there. She is brilliant and meticulous. She is a manager for Dish One, and just recently had to move to Idaho where the parent company is. It has been very hard to let go of her, but it is time to let her stop taking care of her dad. She was home schooled for much of her schooling. She went to Cherry Hill in sixth grade and was a top student and received the Hope of America award.
You see I have been blessed with four of the most fantastic daughters anyone could ever have wished for.
